MOMO is an interdisciplinary artist working across sound, photography, moving image, and visual media. Born in Barcelona and of Japanese and Spanish heritage, she is currently based in Dublin. Her practice explores the human condition, human connection, and lived experience through engagement with the natural world. Working with field recording, image-making, and audiovisual processes, she investigates how relationships with landscape and environment shape perception, presence, and ways of being.
Her work considers connection and intimacy as they emerge through everyday encounters in natural environments, using sound and image to reflect on how we experience and relate to the world around us. These works often invite slow observation and attentiveness to subtle shifts in atmosphere, place, and presence.
She has presented solo exhibitions at Gallery Omotesando ROJI, Tokyo (2023).
