MOMO is an eponymous project by MOMO, an interdisciplinary artist working across sound, moving image, photography, and visual media. Her work explores the fragile interdependence between human destruction and human connection, tracing how intimacy and rupture, empathy and violence, coexist within the same perceptual and emotional space.
Working primarily through sound, rhythm, noise, and texture, her practice focuses on experimentation with fractured temporal structures, unstable rhythmic forms, granular and degraded sonic materials, and layered densities of interference. These elements are composed into shifting environments shaped by repetition, rupture, and erosion, where clarity dissolves into instability and form is continually undone.
Through processes of distortion, fragmentation, and spatial reconfiguration, the work reflects on how consciousness and emotion are shaped within technologically mediated realities, constructing abstract spaces where human presence, and affective instability blur into one continuous, shifting condition.
